After Tonle Sap, it was only slightly into late afternoon. We were so hungry. Hunt drive us back to Jasmine Lodge. We are surprise to see an old lady in the van. It is Hunt's grandmother from the countryside. She is going to stay with Hunt's family in the city.
We have our lunch at the restaurant opposite Jasmine Lodge. Wrong choice. Food is expensive and not very nice. We order fried rice. Xiulan's is beef fried rice (above). Kaiyi and I have Chinese sausage fried rice (below). Each plate cost US$4. This time we have coke because beer is too expensive. Coke is US$1 each. By the way, Xiulan's fried rice taste better.
After lunch, we proceed to petrol kiosk (2min walk from Jasmine) to buy potato chips and an ice cream. Then we head back to our room to watch cable TV and take a nap before going for dinner.
Dinner is at a restaurant that we read about in Lonely Planet. So many foreigners. Another expensive place.
Though expensive, this place has one of the best food we ever had for our past meals in Siem Reap. The amount of meat and rice is totally inproportionate. Xiulan's dinner: Curry vegetables, rice and beer. Kaiyi's dinner: Chicken, rice and lime juice (it's fine to drink with ice here. The ice is made from purified water.) My dinner: Beef, rice and lime juice. Then we order a plate of fries to share.
