Day 3 (Part 2): The journey begins.

Finally, after an almost 25min ride in a van, we arrive at the ferry of Tonle Sap. Today we wear slippers and have small inconvenice. We alighted from the van and have to walk down a bumpy slope. Then climb onto the boat. Cambodians are really honest people. The boat is hired by per booking basis. If the booking has one pax, the boat will only ferry one person. For ours, the whole boat belongs to the three of us. The boat next to us ferries a couple and the woman fell when walking on the front part of the boat. So be careful. Slippery.

The boy in red is 16 yr-old and is the captain cum tour guide of our boat. The other boy is about 10 yr-old and he's the vice captain cum crew.

The friendly residents of Tonle Sap. These people relies on ferrying tourists to and fro the floating villages of Tonle Sap.

I take my place at the front to feel the breeze and got myself an unwanted tan.

The life on water doesn't restrict them to water sports. Volleyball is a daily affair for these students.

This lady is rowing her boat out to Chong Khneas to sell food to the residents.

Aye aye, vice captain!
